Blake Erik / Bio

Raised in the Pacific Northwest, Blake’s life has been filled with artists, musicians, and all things unconventional for as long as he can remember. Inspired by the visually driven sub cultures of his home town, as well as the pages of fashion magazines, Blake became fascinated with hair at a very young age. On his 17th birthday, he made the decision to pursue his passion and has never looked back.

Blake moved to New York City in 2007 and began an apprenticeship at the Serge Normant at John Frieda Salon. There he met Serge and personal mentor Harry Josh, whom he spent years assisting under. Blake has since had incredible opportunities taking him all over the world where has been apart of international campaigns, fashion editorials, and assisted under Eugene Souleiman for NY and Paris Fashion Weeks.

Clients include Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren, Rag & Bone, Free People, Liv Tyler, Stacy Martin, Alexa Chung, Rose Byrne, Helena Christensen, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Chloe Sevigny.
