Jo Baker / Bio

Jo Baker ingeniously translated her passion for fine art into an obsession with the make-up medium. Her innate understanding of crafting unique hues and creating magic-hour glows have influenced her foundational understanding of color and texture. Her looks have been flashed and inked across the globe.

Born and raised in London, Jo was working with M.A.C. Cosmetics and in fashion circles when she was selected by musician Usher to design looks for his world tour. This would eventually relocate Jo to Los Angeles, where she has continued to work with numerous recording artists such as Nicole Scherzinger, Haim and Leona Lewis as well as red carpet regulars such as Salma Hayek, Emily Ratajkowski, Emmy Rossum, Jaime King, and Teresa Palmer.

Jo has collaborated with brand legends such as Marc Jacobs, Apple, Nike, Target, and JBrand. Her work has been featured in W Magazine, Italian Vogue, German Vogue, InStyle, Teen Vogue, Interview, Dazed and Confused, ELLE and GQ, among many others. She has worked with renowned image-makers such as Terry Richardson, Patrick Demarchelier, Naj Jamai, Cedric Buchet, Douglas Friedman, Nagi Sakai and Dusan Reljin. Her coveted beauty advice has been quoted in the likes of Glamour and InStyle, and her charismatic, comfortable presence on camera has been sought after by various brands and publications.
